Boat Description

For sale is a Neptune 16 pocket cruiser sailboat. The hull and glass is in good condition aside from a few rough spots on the companionway and spidercracks in the gelcoat. The boat comes with one mainsail and one jib, both in fairly good condition. "clueless" is a 16 ft swing keel Bermudan ketch, it draws very little water with the keel up and around 4ft with the keel down. The boat displaces 900lbs and can be towed easily with a small vehicle. the interior is not spacious but does provide enough room for two adults to lie down and is equipped with a small recess fitted with a toilet seat.

This is the ultimate lazy sailors boat. Ive added jiffy reefing on the main and reef points on the jib as well as a downhaul on the jib. I've also added cam-cleats to the center of the cockpit for easier single handing. The tiller has been modified for more room in the cockpit and can easily be stiffened up a bit to allow the sailor to take his hand off without the boat going its own way.

Clueless comes with an anchor, and bunch of spare line, a handy pouch that hangs under the mast to keep the lines tidy, and experimental stay'sl, a compass, life vests, seat cushions, spare camcleats, and a box full of elastic cord and pulleys for a self-steering setup. Also included is a jery-rigged wiskerpole that actually works pretty well for going downwind.

The engine runs, but just barely, and only when your lucky, but it does push the boat along nicely when it does. I would plan on either giving it a little overhaul or replacing it.
