What Does Boat Advertising on Boatline Cost?
Your ad will run UNTIL IT SELLS for Only $0.00! The until sold ad includes up to 12 pictures and no word limit on your item description. You will also receive unlimited ad updates and free customer support.
You can add extra visibility or priority options to your ad at very low cost.
Make your ad more noticeable by adding bold text to your search results so it stands out among the other ads. The cost is an additional $0.00, and making the text both bold and red is only $0.00.
Featured Homepage Priority Ads give your ad maximum display exposure. With a Featured Homepage ad, your
ad will be featured on our home page "Front Row" section on a rotational basis, and will be seen by thousands
of people before they even start searching!
A great value at only $0.00.
Featured State Priority Ads give your ad state search priority. With a Featured State Priority ad, your ad will be featured on the top of search results for all searches in your state on a rotational basis. This option is only $0.00.
How Do I Upload Images To My Ad?
In order to upload images to your ad, go to the home page and follow these steps:
- Click on "Sign In" or "Edit your Ad" on the left side of the navigation menu.
- Enter your Username and Password (if you are not already logged in.)
- Click on the blue "Add/Edit Pictures" link for the ad you would like to edit.
- Click the "Browse" button to navigate to the picture you want to upload.
- Repeat for all of your Pictures.
- Click on the "Upload" button at the bottom of the page when you are done selecting pictures. Depending on the size of your file and the speed of your internet connection, it may take a minute or two to upload. If you are having problems try uploading fewer pictures at one time.
Your changes will take effect immediately. In order to view them in your browser, you may have to refresh your page.
If you are having trouble getting your images successfully uploaded, it usually means they are in the wrong format. Here are the specifications for the site:
IMAGES: * must be in .GIF or .JPG format

Do I need to Renew My Ad?
All ads at Boatline run Until Sold, which means your ad can remain online with us for as long as you need it to; you do not have to contact us periodically for your ad to remain active.
However, it is important to update your ad status when your boat sells or you no longer need your ad to be displayed. You can login to your account or contact us to remove your ad or mark it as "Sold!".
How Do I Modify My Ad?
In order to edit or modify your ad on Boatline.com, go to the home page and follow these steps:
- Click the "Edit your Ad" link on the left side navigation menu.
- Enter your Username and Password if you haven't already done so.
- You should now be in the "User Area"
- Click the blue "Modify Description" link.
- Make the changes to your ad.
- When you're finished, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

How Do I Search The Site?
By clicking on "Boats For Sale", you will be able to browse through all of the ads for a particular type of boat. All you have to do is click on the type of Boat you would like to search for and find the Boat of your Dreams.
Another option is to use the Advanced Search, this will allow to search for Boats in many different ways. You can search by Type of Boat, Location, Make, Model, Price, Length or use the keyword field to search for certain features a Boat may have. When using the Keyword search sometimes certain Boats can be missed because some people will use "Bay Liner" and "Bayliner" to describe the same thing. This is where common sense has to take over.
How Do I Retrieve My Username And Password?

How Do I Find Boat Pricing Information?
You can check prices of used boats by doing the following: 1. Clicking on the NADA Guides link on right side of the page. NADA Guides have information for all types of used Boats, you can go to their site directly at NadaGuides.com.
How Will Potential Buyers Contact Me?
Buyers will contact you through the information that you submit (phone number, e-mail) when you register. A person with an inquiry can click on the link "Email Seller" in the details section of your ad. They will then enter their email address and any questions or offers they have for your listing. This inquiry will be sent directly to your email address. The buyers can also contact you by telephone if you choose to display that information.
What Do I Do If My Boat Is Sold?
If you sell your boat please let us know, you can contact us including your ad number and someone will mark the Boat as sold. You also may delete or modify your ad at anytime by logging into the user area.
What Is Auto Notify?
The Auto-Notify feature allows you to set up a personal search agent that will automatically send you new ads that match the keywords that you define.
How Do I Keep Track Of My Favorite Ads?
The Favorites feature allows you to keep track of all of your favorite ads. In the details of every ad there is a link labeled" save this search" on the top of the ad. By clicking on this box, the ad will be added to your user account under favorites in the user area.
When I Placed An Ad I Had A Duplicate Ad, Did I Pay For Two?
No, you will not pay for two ads. The reason this happens is because people tend to click on the back button when placing an ad. When you proceed to the payment area you will never pay for two ads at once.
