For $600k This Unfinished Superyacht Could Be Yours

If you’re in the market for a fixer-upper project yacht with potential for greatness, you’re in luck!

The Trinity Tri-Deck, a 50-meter superyacht that was up for auction last year for $1.5 million, is back on the market. Better yet, it’s being offered for an even cheaper price. With a $600,000 opening bid, this 15-year-old project yacht will be sold to the highest bidder. The only catch is that the buyer will have to do quite a bit of work to get the aluminum superyacht up and running.

Last year, the owners of the Trinity Tri-Deck tried to sell the unfinished vessel, promising a nearly complete superyacht for an amazing deal. At that point in time, it was about 45% complete and hadn’t been worked on since 2008. This is largely because of the economic downturn that forced Trinity to abandon superyacht builds in favor of constructing military support vessels.

The superyacht did not sell by the determined cut-off date in November and was re-listed a few weeks ago with Boathouse Auctions. However, the price is not the only thing that has changed. The six-stateroom superyacht is now only about 20% complete and missing some components that were included in the original sale. It appears that someone may have purchased certain parts of the boat, like the engines, without having to purchase the whole vessel.

Once the boat is purchased, the Trinity Yachts team will be available to help the new owner with construction and renovation of both the interior and exterior of the boat. The goal is for the cost to land well below the price of building new from scratch. This luxury yacht was originally designed to include elevator service, an owner’s suite on the main deck, formal dining area, main deck saloon with outdoor bar and lounge space, four guest suites and two twin rooms, and crew quarters. With those things in mind, this vessel has an incredible amount of potential.

Regardless of the chosen shipyard for construction, Trinity Yachts would be thrilled to see the Trinity purchased and the project complete successfully.
