Kawasaki recently unveiled a new-look for the Ultra 160 line-up, and announced that the new models are equipped with the latest marine tech and offer more convenience than earlier models. If you want more details, read on as Boatline covers Top 5 New Upgrades To the 2023 Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 160 Series.
1. More Comfort
The Jet Ski Ultra 160LX-S and 160LX models were redesigned with the passenger’s comfort in mind. This includes two-piece seats that are significantly narrower at the front, providing the rider with support if they stand up while crossing rougher water. One difference between the new models is that the 160LX will come equipped with a three-position adjustable seat.
2. Brand New Design
While both models were given a brand-new look, they have a distinct contrast in color and style. The Ultra 160LX-S is finished in Candy Steel Furnace Orange and Ebony for the new model year and retains its sporty style. The Ultra 160LX stays true to the luxury design with a Metallic Shadow Gold and Ebony finish. Like the Ultra 310, the 2023 160LX-S and 160LX were designed with a taller bumper that will deflect more water spray as you ride. Plus, these new models include LED daytime running lights, which certainly helps the pwc to stand out.
3. Improved Speed/ Performance
No need to worry about breaking any speed regulations or limits with this new lineup. The 2023 Ultra 160 models come with a convenient 5.0mph mode that limits the jet ski’s top speed. This is especially beneficial when you’re entering no-wake zones or cruising along inshore zones. Depending on the location you plan to use your personal watercraft, there may be speed restrictions within certain distances.
4. Enhanced Controls
The 2023 models also have a built in suite of electronics to enhance the pwc’s handling and performance, including cruise control, power mode selection and launch control. The drivetrain also features Kawasaki’s Smart Reverse with Deceleration, which is extremely helpful when it comes to docking the pwc, and a rear-view camera will be standard on both models,
5. Cutting-Edge Sound System
Kawasaki certainly had a huge focus on tech integration when updating this series, making sure to add plenty of connectivity features and electronic accessories. Of note, the 160LX includes a four-speaker Jetsound audio system so you can enjoy your favorite tunes while cruising the waterways. Additionally, the Ultra 160 line-up includes bluetooth functionality.
